We had this feeling that the Döner Kebab will find friends here in Portland because that’s what good food does when it’s shared. Food unites people and cultures, creates new friendships while sharing memories and making new ones. And what is more rewarding than a smile on someone’s face ‘aaaaahhh, this was so good’ ~ ‘reminds me of my time in…’ ~ ‘remember when…?’
Last week we got invited to the Portland radio station Portland Radio Project, Tasty Tuesday with Steven Shomler and Ken Wilson to talk about Döner Kebab and Dönerländ. What an honor to be interviewed on the radio -live- only two weeks after opening PDX Dönerländ!
We have been friends of the show for quite some time and whenever we missed a show, we listened to the recorded version on their blog. And thanks to social media, we followed Steven Shomler and his culinary adventures on Twitter and soon later he followed back. And now we were on the show too!
Thanks again, Steven & Ken for having us, for liking our food and for sharing the story of Döner Kebab on your blog.
